Shah Rukh Khan's Kal Ho Na Ho to Dhanush's Raanjhanaa, One-Sided Love Stories That Made Us Sob!
Bollywood films play one of the biggest parts of our lives. They have amused and touched our emotions in a variety of ways, including romance, massy entertainers and family dramas. However, certain films made us cry uncontrollably and broke our hearts with their intriguing love stories that did not end as we expect them to.

Above all, love stories are my favorite genre. Although I appreciate comedy, thriller, and action movies, if I had to choose one genre for the rest of my life, it would undoubtedly be love stories.

However, what's the point of witnessing a love story if there's no drama, tears, grief, or a heck of a lot of sadness? As a result, I've compiled a list of 6 of my favorite Bollywood heartbreaking one-sided love stories.

Kal Ho Na Ho:

The movie taught an entire generation to be appreciative of the type of lover/love they have. Appreciating your loved ones and their existence in your life is timeless, and Aman (Shah Rukh Khan) just demonstrated this with perfection. Naina (Preity Zinta) learns from him, not just to value herself, but also how to be grateful for a variety of other people and circumstances in her life.

Although the film has a lot of amazing dialogues, the one that remained with me is "Suno, jeeyo, kush raho, muskurao…kya pata kal ho na ho”

Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein

Maddy (R Madhavan) wants to impress Reena (Dia Mirza) by impersonating Rajeev (Saif Ali Khan), the man Reena is set to marry. He is not, however, prepared for the time when the truth is exposed.

This film is a roller coaster of emotions, from an innocent love story to a sad heartbreak. This is one of those movies that has been a favorite of mine since high school and continues to be so today.

Meri Pyaari Bindu:

After a brief relationship, Abhimanyu and Bindu had a falling out as she realizes she doesn't love him. Abhimanyu decides to write a book on his life after becoming famous.

Meri Pyaari Bindu's climax is much more than merely a reunion of two friends. The song, Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahin (Oh My God, this song! brb, crying), is a wholesome and beautiful moment of acceptance of fate and going on without grudges, as well as the admission of a heartbreak.

Raanjhanaa:

Raanjhana is about Kundan (Dhanush) and Zoya, who has a one-sided love tale (Sonam Kapoor). Kundan has always had a crush on Zoya and is disappointed when she decides to marry Akram. Kundan makes it his personal goal to earn her love. The film is directed by Aanand L Rai and stars Sonam Kapoor, Dhanush, Abhay Deol, Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub, and Swara Bhasker.

Raanjhanaa is one of the most enjoyable and well-made films that portrays authentic India, particularly in little towns like Varanasi. The kind of love that Kundan has for Zoya is something that has set an example of a one-sided love that is still talked about when heartbreaking stories are discussed.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil:

In New York, Alizeh (Anushka Sharma), a strong woman healing from a breakup, meets Ayan (Ranbir Kapoor), an innocent musician, and they develop an exceptional friendship. They go on to experience love, heartbreak, and the realities of life from there. This one is my personal favorite of all. Even though Ayaan's love for Alizeh was one-sided in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, he always tried to convey how much he loved her, and his infatuation with her was never exaggerated in the process.

With these films, Bollywood has proven that it has drifted away from celebrating stalking and age-old clichés about love and relationships and has begun to make films that celebrate love and passion more sensibly.
